Today, more than 100 U.S. Representatives stood up for the Endangered Species Act, our nation’s foremost safety net to protect imperiled species from extinction. This comes after a November 30th letter and initiative led by Senator Cory Booker with 30 other Senators in which they urged their leadership to protect the Endangered Specis Act after the "Senate Committee on Appropriations released its FY2018 recommendations for the Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies, which included a number of provisions – such as funding cuts and court overrides – that would weaken the Endangered Species Act."
