URGENT: ATTEND THE ONLY PUBLIC HEARING ON WOLF DELISTING IN BRAINERD, MN ON JUNE 25

Dear wolf advocate:

BAN ON WOLF TROPHY HUNTING PASSED MN HOUSE: The Minnesota House of Representatives passed a ban on wolf trophy hunting. Governor Tim Walz and Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan also announced their support of the ban. Thanks to everyone who has ever taken an action for the wolf over these years. We know it has – and will continue to make – a difference. Even though this bill was not made into law, we know the wolf has allies in our state leadership.

Here's what's next:

PROPOSED FEDERAL WOLF DELISTING FROM ENDANGERED SPECIES PROTECTIONS: The U.S. Department of Interior extended the official comment period of their proposed rule to remove Endangered Species Act protections for the wolf to July 15, 2019. Delisting will be a death sentence for many wolves because states will implement hunting and trapping seasons.
