Pre-movie PARTY and Medicine of the Wolf World Premiere |
When: Saturday, April 11. Party 2:30-4:30 PM. Movie Premiere 4:45 PM Howling For Wolves President and Founder Dr. Maureen Hackett and wolf advocates from around the state will gather before the showing for music, refreshments and appetizers, and conversation. "Medicine of the Wolf" is a a full-length documentary film that will debut at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival in Minneapolis on Saturday, April 11 at 4:45 PM at the St. Anthony Main Theater. The 75-minute documentary is being considered for several awards, and features Howling For Wolves President and Founder Dr. Maureen Hackett. The screening also includes a Q&A led by the film's creator/director Julia Huffman. This compelling wolf documentary is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival. Primarily shot in Minnesota, the film includes commentary by National Geographic photographer Jim Brandenburg, Dr. Maureen Hackett, president and founder of Howling For Wolves, Minnesota environmentalist Barry Babcock, and many more. Youth Art for Saving Wolves' Student Art Exhibit |
When: February 28, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Join Howling For Wolves at the “Youth Art for Saving Minnesota Wolves” art exhibit where Minneapolis-St. Paul area students present their artwork celebrating wolves. Art will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the artists and Howling For Wolves. Politicians from around the state will be in attendance including Congressman Keith Ellison, State Auditor Rebecca Otto, DFL Chair Ken Martin, Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith, Congressman Rick Nolan, Attorney General Lori Swanson, Representative Erin Murphy, and many others. Informational Wolf Hearing |
When: Tuesday, January 20th, 2015 (2:45 PM) Please attend the Informational Wolf Hearing. Details are as follows: Mining & Outdoor Recreation Policy Committee View map here for parking options. If attending, please read carefully. Wear your wolf shirts and buttons, however no signs are allowed inside the committee room. The tone of the room is very professional and your actions must be courteous. The public is seated in the gallery and must remain respectful and quiet. No outbursts (or howls) will be tolerated by the legislature. Know that your actions reflect on the wolf. The wolves need your support at the Capitol! Let our governor, state legislators and the DNR know that wolf hunting must end in our state. Enough is enough. Parking and Green Line light rail system stops, click here.
